Special Events Parking Information
Special Event Parking Requirements
Parking spaces are at a premium on the UNCG Campus. Since all central campus parking lots are expected to be filled to capacity, events that require any participants must make arrangements with Parking Operations (even if your department is not paying for parking).
The Special Events Parking Request
Form is for departments or organizations that wish to make special parking arrangements for groups, meetings, or conferences on campus. The form should be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the event. It is important that you fill-out all the CONTACT and EVENT INFORMATION and METHOD OF PAYMENT on the form.
Special Events Parking Options
Parking resources are limited. For this reason, arrangements need to be made and information gathered concerning parking when events are in the planning stage so that available services and options can be explored.
SERVICES AND OPTIONS INCLUDE:
- Deck Spaces - Parking Operations can be paid by the individual at a rate
of $1/hour or $6/entry maximum for a deck space.
- Visitor Value Deck Exit Cards - Parking Operations offers Value Deck Exit Cards for $3/day, which allows your visitor to park in any deck. Each Value Deck Exit Card is good for one deck exit.
- Programmed Cards - If you have 20 (+) people parking in the decks, please come to the Parking Operations Office in the Walker Deck and get a programmed card for the deck to let your guests out. Your charges will be billed to you according to your entry and exit times at $1/hr. Someone from your office will be needed to let your guests out of the deck with the card. Please return the card within 24 hours after event to avoid a $6 fee (Enter under the "Deck Space" parking option).
- Coned Spaces - Parking Operations will cone spaces for events and provide
the appropriate signage. The charge is $9 per day per space. Please include
the name you need the space reserved for in the "Additional Note" field.
- Park and Ride - Park and Ride buses may be reserved at a rate of $35/hr/20 passenger bus or $45/hr/30 passenger bus (minimum 2 hour rental). Please include the route you need the buses to run in the "Additional Note" field.
Note: Parking Operations must be notified of any service cancellation 48 hours in advance. Charges will be billed if no cancellation notice given.
