Where can I park my car?
Parking options are determined by parking permit type. Surface parking lot signage is placed at each lot entry to designate which permit type(s) may park there.
Where can I park my bicycle?
Bikes should be parked at bike racks.
Where can I park my motorcycle/moped/scooter?
Motorcycles, mopeds, and motorized scooters must be registered for use on campus and must be parked at designated surface lot locations.
What should I do if I can't find a parking space on campus?
Call 334-5681 for assistance. An attendant is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except holidays and breaks.
What should I do if I’m having car trouble?
Call 334-5681 to request motorist assistance if you are on campus and your vehicle has a dead battery, flat tire, or is out of gas.
Are meters enforced on weekends?
Metered parking spaces are strictly enforced at all times – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The meter rate is 25 cents per 15 minutes. The time limit near most residence halls is up to 30 minutes. The time limit near most academic and administrative buildings is up to 2 hours. Meters are intended for short term use only. Meters are not an appropriate parking option for students attending classes.
Are parking regulations enforced at night and on weekends?
YES! Parking regulations are enforced at all times – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What should I do if I get a parking ticket?
Tickets may be paid in the parking office until 7 days after the date issued. After 7 days, tickets must be paid in the cashier’s office in Mossman. To dispute a ticket, appeal online within 7 days.
Can I park in a deck?
Pay-by-hour visitors may park in McIver Deck, Oakland Deck, or Walker Deck on a space available basis. To enter a deck, press a button to pull an entry ticket and keep the ticket with you in a safe place. To exit a deck, walk to the nearest Exit Express automated pay station. Machines accept cash only – $2 first hour and $1 for each consecutive hour. $7 day/entry maximum. If you misplace your entry ticket, the lost ticket fee is $7 for the first lost ticket and $35 for each additional lost ticket. If you do not have cash, please go to the nearest ATM. If you need assistance, use the intercom to speak with an attendant.
How do I get a deck parking permit?
Student deck permits are managed by wait list. Student wait times average 2-3 years.
If you have a deck permit and lose your access card, the replacement fee is $6.
How much does a parking permit cost?
Permit prices vary by permit type. Student permits range from $30 per year to $445 per year. Permits are sold year round. However, some permit types are limited and sell out early. Permits purchased after August are prorated on a DAILY basis.
How do I register for a permit?
Register online or in the parking office. Must have a valid UNCG NOVELL USERNAME and PASSWORD, be registered for classes at UNCG, if living on campus - have your HOUSING ASSIGNMENT, know your VEHICLE MAKE and TYPE, know your LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, know your VEHICLE INSURANCE PROVIDER NAME, and know your INSURANCE POLICY NUMBER.

Can a B permit park in other designated lots during weekends?
Yes, anyone can park in a valid C/E space from 5pm Fridays – midnight Sundays; with or without a permit. However, please remember meters, reserves, “A” permit only lots, fire lanes, and no parking areas are strictly enforced at all times.
How many parking spaces are available?
There are approximately 6,500 spaces available on campus and in remote lots near campus.
