Where can I park my car?

Depends on the permit type you purchase. Look to lot signage for availability.

Where can I park my bike?

Bikes must be parked in designated bike areas.

Are meters really enforced on the weekends?

Yes, meters are enforced 24/7.

How do I pay a parking ticket?

Up until (7) days from the date of the ticket, you can pay your ticket in the Parking Operations office. After (7) days you will need to go to the Cashiers Office.

What do I do if I can't find a parking spot?

Call Parking Operations at 334-5681. An attendant is available 24/7 (except holidays and breaks).

What do I do if I am parking in one of the decks and lose my entrance ticket?

If you are paying by the hour and have pulled a ticket, it costs $6 to get out the first time, and $30 any additional time. If you have a deck permit and have lost your access card, there is a $6 replacement fee. (ATM's are available on campus and conveniently located.)

How do I get out of a deck if I don't have a pass?

You have to pay the hourly rate or a maximum of $6/entry/day.

How much is parking if you don't get a pass in the beginning of the semester?

Permits are prorated on a DAILY basis.

How long is the typical waiting time to get a deck pass?

2-3 years

Can a B tag park in other designated lots on the weekends with no penalties?

Yes, anyone can park without a permit in a valid space from 5pm Fridays – midnight Sundays. This does not include meters, reserves (including "A" - 24/7 lots), or other no parking zones.

Can you wait to buy a parking pass until 2nd semester? If you can buy one second semester, do you pay the full price or half price?

Permits are sold year round, however, there are a limited number of “C” permits sold. If you purchase a permit after August the price is prorated on a DAILY basis.

How many spaces are available?

Approximately 6500 spaces

How do I get on the waiting list?

Go online at parking.uncg.edu under STUDENTS and click on WAIT LIST.

How do I register for a permit?

You must have a valid UNCG NOVELL USERNAME and PASSWORD, be registered for classes at UNCG, if living on campus - have your HOUSING ASSIGNMENT, know your VEHICLE MAKE and TYPE, know your LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, know your VEHICLE INSURANCE NAME, and know your INSURANCE POLICY NUMBER.
